Put your Business on the Map

We take that idea seriously. Global Guidance Initiative, an SBU of The Artistic Touch, is a consulting business focused on business development solutions and sponsor acquisition for community promotional campaigns and cause management. Our previous and present clients include chambers of commerce, county enterprise incubators, boards of trade, leadership missions, trade missions, city governments, community leaders and investment consultants.

Our Vision and Mission

Our Vision is to assist communities in emerging-world countries to improve and stabilize their lives and well-being by addressing the two most basic of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs―Physical Needs and Safety―through programs in agriculture, food management, health care, water and waste treatment, and other infrastructure undertakings.

Our Mission is to partner with leading institutions to offer proven training in sustainable practices by using international aid and trade missions to create “train the trainer” programs that produce expert facilitators, who in turn pass on to their neighbors in their home countries their knowledge, tools, resources and methods for creating sustainable solutions and building healthier, more resilient communities.

Creating Value
Modeled on fundamentals promoted over the past 20 years, our programs are designed for sustainability, accessibility, self-reliance, and the development of new enterprises, created for social entrepreneurs who are driving toward a better way for their communities to thrive. We aim for turnkey results, utilizing tangible objectives, a no-nonsense approach to training, practical metrics, and an egalitarian approach for all participants

This methodology assumes that experienced on-site authorities will be able to share the information and methodology presented here to launch sustainable results that will significantly sustain and supplement the essential public good for the people in the countries choosing to participate.

Helping People Help Themselves

Access, Training, Knowledge

Just as a building requires a foundation and a garden a plot of fruitful soil, solving a problem has to begin with a premise: that the outcome you want to create will provide a benefit and that a demand for that benefit exists, that is, that your target audience has capital and is willing to spend it to acquire the benefit you are providing — in our model, knowledge, tools, resources and methods for creating sustainable agriculture and building healthier, more resilient communities.

In some cases the solution is as simple as a disruptive recognition that things can be made better, just by doing something differently, possibly better: a fishing village realizing that its coral reef is a valuable breeding ground to be protected so that fish can grow to maturity and yield a better catch; villagers working together to help develop micro-enterprises that expand the economic viability of the entire village; having access to and learning how to grow a sustainable garden to feed oneself and one’s family and meet broader community needs.
